Respect, compassion and individualized care

  • Consistency of Staff

    We ensure consistency of staffing to give a sense of familiarity in providing care for residents

  • Behavioural Supports Ontario

    We have a Behavioural Supports Ontario team to work with residents who exhibit responsive behaviours

  • Nurse Practitioner

    We have a nurse practitioner assigned to our home to eliminate emergency room visits

  • Staff Certification

    As of April 2015, 276 of our staff have been certified in Gentle Persuasive Approach (GPA)

  • Online Education

    Our staff education programs are completed and tracked on an online learning system

  • Specialized Teams

    We have specialized teams to minimize falls and restraints

  • Volunteers

    We have a Guardian Angels Program that utilizes volunteers to assist new residents in adjusting to their new environment

  • Activities and Participation

    We utilize a web based program called Activity Pro to log and track resident activity and participation levels in programs

  • Music and Memory

    Our home is Music & Memory Certified and we collaborate with the Alzheimer Society’s Ipod Project

  • iPad Serving System

    We use iPads in our dining rooms to take the order of our residents which are then transmitted to the kitchen with their pictures and customized diets
